Next Sundays Competition is the Master Classic for the Top 30 in the Golfer of the Year. This competition is sponsored by Moriarty's Centra Ballyheigue. For those that didnt qualify for the Master Classic there is an 18 hole Single Stableford with tee times from 10.30 to 1pm. On Sunday their will be a free meal after the golf for everyone playing in both competitions. There will be a choice of chicken curry or beef stroganoff.
The Nines of Kerry final between Ballyheigue and Ardfert took place in Castlegregory on last Saturday with Adrfert winning the final match on the 20th hole to win 3-2. John Barrett and Ann Leahy lost 2&1. Maurice McElligott and Marie McMahon won 5&4. Joesph O'Connor and Ena O'Brien lost on the 22nd hole. Declan McCann and John Lohan won 4&2. Lorraine Canty and Kathleen Gilbride lost on the 20th.

On Friday the finals of the Singles and Fourball Matchplay took place. In the Singles Matchplay Vincent Linnane won 2 & 1 against Declan McCann. This competition is sponsored by Dermot Dowling. In the Fourball Matchplay Maurice McElligott and Pat Dillane won 4 & 3 against Padraig Dineen and Noel Gilbride. This competition is sponsored by Tim Joe Griffin, The OlD Attic Bar, Ballybunion.
