Our JB Carr team played Kenmare in Ballyheigue last Thursday in the home leg on the County Final. Our first pairing was John Pierce and Anto Casey who defeated Pat O'Dwyer and Larry Kelly 2 & 1. Our second pairing of John Barrett and Mike Hayes won 1up against Michael Crowley and Michael O'Brien. Our 3rd pairing of James O'Sullivan and Eamon Stack defeated Dave O'Dwyer and Derek Coakelin 3 & 2. Our 4th pairing of Joseph O'Connor and Tim Joe Griffin won 1up against Philip Burns and Peter Cronin. Our last pairing of John Lohan and Ronan Gillooly finished all square with Tom Carey and John J Mahony. So heading to the away leg in Kenmare next week the score is 4 1/2 to 1/2.

Our Pierce Purcell lost 3-2 to the Ring of Kerry in Newcastlewest on Saturday. Oliver O'Halloran and John Donegan (a) won 5 & 4. Paul O'connor and Ronan Gillooly won 2 & 1. Jimmy Sullivan and John Barrett lost 6 & 5. John White and Packie Bunyan lost 3 & 2. John Lohan and Chris Edge lost on the 22nd.

Our JB Carr team had another great win against Killarney on Wednesday in the semi final of the Kerry section. Our first paring of John Pierce and Anto Casey had a tight match throughout against Dermot Roche and Enda Cultayne with the Killarney group halfing the final hole to win the game 1up.
Our 2nd pairing was John Barrett and Mike Hayes who were playing Donie McSweeney and Tesso O'Connor. The match was A/S after 9 but a strong back 9 saw John and Mike win 4 & 2.
Our next point came from our final pairing of John Lohan and Ronan Gillooly who were playing Con Healy and Mike Leahy. Level after 13 John and Ronan won 14, 15 and 16 to win the game 3 & 2.
Our winning point came from Joseph O'Connor and Tim Joe Griffin who played Derry O'Connor and John Moynihan. Level after 14, Joseph and Tim Joe won 15 and 16 to go 2up with 2 to play. A win for Killarney on 17 saw the game go up 18. Joseph pitched from 30 yards short of the green to 4 feet and Tim Joe sunk the putt to win the game.
Our other pairing of James O'Sullivan and Eamon Stack were called in on 19 after finishing all square after 18. Final Score 3 1/2 to 1 1/2.

Our JB Carr team are playing Kenmare in Ballyheigue next Thursday at 12.00pm in the first leg of the final of the Kerry section. Our Pierce Purcell team play the Ring of Kerry in Newcastlewest next Saturday at 9.50am. All support welcome.

Our Jimmy Bruen played Dooks in Killorglin on Saturday morning. The first pairing was Enda O'Halloran and Martin Garvery and they won 4 & 2. The second pairing was Noel Gilbride and Declan McCann who won 3 & 2. The third pairing was Earl McMahon and Frank D'arcy who lost 1 down. The last paring was Pat Dillane and Maurice McElligott and they lost 3 & 2. This left the score 2-2 with the fourth pairing of Jerry Horan and Padraig Dineen finishing all sqaure after 18 Holes. Halves on 19 and 20 saw the Dooks pairing birdie the 21st hole to win a very tight match.
