The first of the summer 9 Hole Open Mixed Scrambles will take place on Friday evening May 1st with a draw for partners at 6.30pm. Please ring your entry to the clubhouse.

On Satuday our Country Clubs team was defeated by Ross in Ardfert by a score of 4-3. Declan McCann won on the 22nd. Maurice McElligott won 2up. Padraig Dineen lost 3&1. Donal Glavin lost 7&6. Oliver O'Halloran lost 4&3. Frank darcy won 1up. Mike O'Connor lost 2&1.

The draw for the Mixed Foursomes will now take place on Sunday May 3rd. Entry form available in the clubhouse. This is sponsored by John Casey QS.

On Sunday April 19th we had an 18 Hole Single Strokeplay competition sponsored by McMunns Ballybunion.
1st: Mike O'Connor (13) 67 Nett
2nd Tim Joe Griffin (21) 71 Nett
3rd: Pat Dillane (8) 73 Nett

On Saturday we had our first ever game in the JB Carr against Tralee in Ballyheigue. Game 1 was Jamsey McGrath and John Pierce who won 6&5 against Denis Mannix and Richard Rafferty. Tralee leveled matters in Game 2 with Paudie Nolan and Pat Kennealy winning 6&5 against John Barrett and Mike Hayes. Tralee won Game 3 with Sean McGrath and John Herlihy winning 2&1 against James O'Sullivan and Ronan Gillooly. With 2 games left on the course both were all square playing 18. Game 4 saw Joseph O'Connor and Tim Joe Griffin lying 4 on the green with Liam Hussey and Dermot Walsh lying 2 off the back of the green. Joseph faced a 50 foot putt knowing it had to go in, which it duly did. An amazing putt from Joe. Tralee failed to get up and down which sent the match up 19. After Tralee left their 3rd shot in the bunker on 19 and it left Tim Joe Griffin with a 3 foot putt to win the game which he holed.
Focus then turned to the final game which saw Eamon Stack and John Dineen playing Joe McCarthy and Michael Murphy. 18 was halved and so was 19 and with Tralee facing a 3 foot putt to half 20 it looked like they would be heading up 21 but the putt was missed and we had our first ever victory in the JB Carr. The next round must be played by May 15 in Ballyheigue. Opponents not know yet.
